Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the New Inn in Coln St Aldwyns which is run by Baz & Fred. The New Inn is well known for its beautiful building, delicious food and fantastic menu. As well as having a busy restaurant there are 15 well presented rooms with consistently high occupancy.

We are looking for a dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, particularly within the hotel sector, and will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are impeccably presented. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Manage and train housekeeping staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
Conduct cleaning of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness is of the highest standard.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise workflow and maintain consistency.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery for guests.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.

Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hotel industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment used in housekeeping operations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.
