Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, food and dessert, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers have a positive experience. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a vibrant, customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, food and dessert, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, crepe, waffle and dessert.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently
Handle cash transactions and operate the till with accuracy
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Assist with food preparation tasks when required
Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours

Skills

Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Previous Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently
Good basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Friendly, approachable manner with strong communication skills
Ability to work well within a team and independently when necessary
