Full job description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Administration Assistant to manage our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping requirements. The applicant must have excellent organisational skills, the ability to communicate accurately and clearly with customers and colleagues and be able to multitask. Working in a small, friendly office with many shared responsibilities, the right applicant must be an excellent team player and willing to help wherever necessary.

A general overview of the role includes:

SAGE Accounting
Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
Regular invoicing and reconciliation of customer payments
Input and payment of supplier invoices
Reconciliation of credit card statements and bank statements
CIS
Prepare VAT tax returns
Stock take
Fleet management
Insurance
Ability to process wages an advantage

There are also a number of shared office tasks to include but not limited to:

Generating quotes
Raising customer jobs
Scanning
Filing
Answering the telephone/door
Dealing with customer/supplier enquiries.

Requirements and experience within the following are a must:

SAGE
VAT
Microsoft Office
Experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role

Expected start date: ASAP

Minimum of 16 hours, extra to be discussed.

£14.50 per hour.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £14.50 per hour
