Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee the day to day operations of a commercial property portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring buildings are maintained to a high standard, operating safely and efficiently, whilst acting as the main point of contact for tenants, contractors and asset managers.

Responsibilities

Oversee contractors responsible for the maintenance and repair of building infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are completed efficiently, safely and to the required standard.
Manage building compliance and safety procedures, including fire safety, security systems and health & safety requirements.
Carry out regular site inspections to identify maintenance issues and implement corrective actions where required.
Liaise with tenants regarding maintenance works, service interruptions and general building matters.
Act as the primary on-site contact between tenants, contractors and asset managers.
Assist with the planning and delivery of maintenance projects and improvement works.
Maintain accurate records relating to compliance, inspections, maintenance and contractor activity.

Requirements

Previous experience in a Building Manager, Facilities Manager or Property Management role.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience overseeing contractors and service providers.
Good understanding of building maintenance and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and other standard office software.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay: Up to £50,000.00 per year
