Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and flexible Production Operative to join our award winning start-up. This is a hands-on role working across multiple areas, including the manufacturing room, the main warehouse and picking and packing departments.
The role suits someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food safety and hygiene, and is happy to support different tasks as required.
What you’ll be doing:
Your main focus will be on the manufacturing of Flavour Bombs with clear daily targets set. You will also be taking deliveries, recording deliveries and ensuring the manufacturing and warehouse spaces are kept to a high standard as well additional tasks set below:
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement by following company procedures and safety protocols
- Work as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and managers
- Follow established procedures for food production, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitise work areas, machinery, and equipment to maintain high hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular checks on machinery and equipment, performing basic maintenance as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations throughout the production process and strict cross-contamination controls.
- Ensure you are meeting daily production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Record production data accurately, utilising basic math skills for calculations as necessary.
- Packaging and labelling finished products.
- Maintaining accurate batch records, including batch codes and production dates.
- Taking deliveries, replenishing stock, and completing stock checks.
- Packing orders time to time
- Ensuring all work meets SALSA food manufacturing and food safety standards (training provided if needed)
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar food manufacturing or production role with a solid understanding of food safety practices.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles is an advantage (not essential), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Basic math skills are essential for recording and reporting production metrics accurately.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.

- Strong understanding of health and safety in a food environment.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (desired but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential – our site is not accessible by public transport).
