Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for safety, a willingness to learn, and the physical stamina required for demanding tasks on-site. This position offers valuable experience across multiple aspects of construction work and is suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within the industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and clearing of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment.
Support tradespeople such as machine drivers and the site manager.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, lifting, and fixing materials.
Assist with the installation of welfare facilities, site offices and general housekeeping.
Follow schematics and technical drawings to aid in construction activities where necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency on-site.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during construction activities.

Skills

Basic knowledge of construction processes and safety procedures.
Experience or familiarity with construction sites.
Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Understanding of schematics and technical drawings relevant to construction projects.
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills.
Willingness to learn new skills across various trades within the construction industry. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in construction environments while contributing to diverse building projects.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
