Full job description

Crossways Nursing Home is looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Cook/Chef to join our friendly team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a warm, welcoming nursing home where you can make a real difference to the lives of our residents every day.

As our Cook/Chef, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals that meet the individual dietary needs and preferences of our residents, whilst maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality meals and snacks for residents.
Cater for special dietary requirements and nutritional needs.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations and company policies.
Work closely with the care team to provide an enjoyable dining experience for residents.

About You

Previous experience as a Cook or Chef is preferred.
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above) is desirable.
A genuine passion for preparing good food and supporting older people.
Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team.
Good understanding of food safety and kitchen management.
