Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong food preparation and cooking skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, lead kitchen operations, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Previous supervisory and team management experience is highly desirable, as you will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards and ensuring smooth kitchen workflows.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service
Oversee food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage of ingredients
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment
Ensure all food served meets the organisation’s presentation and taste expectations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and special menu requests
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Good communication skills for effective team management and customer interaction
Experience in food production, restaurant service, and hospitality environments is highly advantageous
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
