About the role:
At InPost, we're looking for an experienced, motivated, and people-focused Senior Supervisor to join our flagship Newstrade operation.
This is a key leadership role where you'll play a vital part in driving operational excellence, delivering outstanding service, and developing high-performing teams. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the operation while creating a positive, engaging environment where colleagues can thrive and perform at their best.

What you’ll be doing:
You'll lead the daily operation, ensuring performance, service, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Maintain high operational standards across the warehouse, setting the benchmark for performance and professionalism.
Establish clear objectives for each shift and monitor progress to ensure targets are achieved.
Lead effective shift handovers, ensuring seamless communication and continuity between teams.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, accuracy, and space utilisation.
Produce daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct regular operational audits to ensure compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement.
You'll ensure inventory accuracy and efficient stock movement throughout the operation.
Maintain oversight of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring all stock transactions are accurately recorded and authorised.
Ensure stock flows efficiently from goods-in through to dispatch, minimising delays and maintaining service levels.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to maintain accurate inventory records.
Investigate stock discrepancies promptly, implementing resolutions or escalating where necessary.
Ensure all inbound and outbound documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.

Support business projects and contribute to peak trading and seasonal operational requirements.
Safety is a core priority, and you'll lead by example in creating a safe working environment.
Promote and embed a strong health and safety culture throughout the operation.
Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure any issues are resolved promptly.
Ensure all colleagues are trained in safe working practices, PPE requirements, and emergency procedures.
Accurately record incidents, near misses, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
Maintain environmental controls and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
You'll ensure the warehouse remains safe, organised, and audit-ready at all times.
Maintain exceptional housekeeping and operational standards across the site.
Regularly review warehouse conditions and address issues proactively.
Work closely with facilities and engineering teams to ensure equipment is maintained, safe, and operational.
What we need from you:
Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and stock control processes.
Demonstrated success in leading teams and delivering operational performance targets.
Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
