Full job description

We have an opportunity to join the CLAAS Western team as a Parts Assistant, working at our dealership in Frome for a fixed term period of 12 months. This role will be covering a colleagues period of maternity leave.

Main Duties:

Responsibility for picking and packing parts and ensuring their prompt dispatch to our customers.
Assisting with the unloading of deliveries ensuring all parts are booked in and stored correctly.
Dealing with customer parts enquiries in our retail area, both face to face and by telephone, supporting customers and workshop staff with parts identification.
Ensuring our Service Engineers have all the necessary parts to complete servicing and breakdowns in a timely manner.
Stock taking duties, using a computerised stock control system.
Other general duties to ensure smooth operation (housekeeping).

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent customer service skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Able to work to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to work effectively as part of a team or independently as necessary.
The ability to work unsociable hours as and when required.
Able to multi-task and prioritise.
Enthusiasm to learn.
A good understanding of MS Office products.
Knowledge of working within a busy parts department would be preferable.
Understanding of agricultural machinery would be beneficial.
Retail experience would be an advantage.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week with regular overtime. During peak seasonal periods be prepared to work on a rota which includes evenings
