Company Overview

Involve Voluntary Action supports the development and sustainability of local voluntary and community initiatives in Mid Devon. Our mission is to empower individuals, groups, and organisations to enhance community capacity and promote active citizenship. We are committed to fostering inclusive access and advocating for those with learning disabilities.
Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in Tiverton. This vital role involves supporting our community programs and advocacy projects, ensuring smooth administrative operations. Based in Tiverton, you will contribute to our mission of empowering local communities and promoting equal access supporting our Administrator. Salary is: £24,653.00 FTE, £6574.13p per annum for a 10 hour per week contract.
Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
Provide support for project activities related to advocacy for people with learning disabilities.
Maintain organised records using Microsoft Office, and other tools.
Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling phone enquiries.
Support financial record-keeping using QuickBooks.
Collaborate with team members to improve administrative processes.
Ensure effective communication within the organisation and with external partners.
Qualifications
Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Effective phone etiquette and communication skills.
Ability to handle data entry accurately.
Previous experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not essential.
Knowledge of community services or advocacy work is advantageous.
