Full job description

Job Title: UFH Trade Counter Manager

Business Unit: The Underfloor Heating Store

Location: Weybridge, Surrey

Reports to (Job Title): Head of Sales

Role Purpose:
The UFH Trade Counter Manager is a pivotal role, and will be responsible for the successful launch of our next physical location for "The Underfloor Heating Store". The ideal candidate for this role has a strong sales background as well as knowledge of the local construction market. Previous experience in a merchant role is preferred, as the manager will primarily be working out of a trade counter/branch location.

Principal Accountabilities:

Achieve the Weybridge Trade Counter monthly sales and margin target
Own and drive sales in the trade counter, capturing and acquiring a loyal customer base
Build a business pipeline through engagement with local installers, local developers, TUFHS colleagues and contacts within the wider Highbourne Group
Take ownership of the trade counter customer experience, effectively manage quotations using CRM tools, and interpret and explain data to confirm the value of the trade counter proposition
Ensure the trade counter is maintained to high standards with good hygiene and cleanliness
Where necessary, meet face to face with installers and developers in the local area to help win business and gain customer confidence

Essential:

3 years plumbing & heating experience
3 years internal/external sales experience
Excellent listening and questioning skills
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to detail
Clean driver's license
Effective communicator
Ability to work quickly and accurately
Able to remain calm under pressure
Well-organized
Problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to build strong relationships

Other Attributes:

Keen to learn new skills, able to communicate on a corporate level
Strong understanding of the UK construction market
Understanding of margin (both % and cash input)
Computer literate, comfortable with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
Team player but has the ability to work alone and make business decisions where necessary

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
