We have an exciting opportunity available for a Graduate Sports Assistant to join Tockington Manor School for one academic year from September 2026.
The Graduate Sports Assistant is a varied and rewarding role, providing support across both the academic and co-curricular life of Tockington Manor School.
The postholder will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils in the classroom, contribute to the wider life of the school and assist with supervision duties. In addition, they will play an active role within the Games and Physical Education programme, delivering and supporting high-quality lessons, particularly within girls’ hockey, netball and cricket, and helping to foster pupils’ enjoyment, participation and development.
The successful candidate will bring a strong sporting background and relevant coaching experience, enabling them to contribute positively to the school’s curriculum and co-curricular sports provision.
As a Graduate Sports Assistant, you will be expected to play a full and active role in the life of the school. In addition to your core duties, you may be required to support with breakfast club provision, after-school supervision and fixtures, as well as the school’s wider co-curricular programme.
As an independent school, the term-time schedule is varied and the postholder is expected to work flexibly and collaboratively throughout term time to support the academic, pastoral and co-curricular needs of the school community. This may include attendance at occasional evening and weekend commitments, such as school events, sports fixtures and other co-curricular activities.
