Full job description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Cooks to join our friendly care home teams. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that cater to the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents, helping to create a positive dining experience every day.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook balanced meals, snacks, and special diets in accordance with residents' needs.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.
Manage food stock, ordering, and storage effectively.
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
Work closely with the Home Manager and care team to accommodate residents' dietary requirements.
Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure an excellent dining experience.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Cook, Chef, or Kitchen Assistant, preferably within a care home, healthcare, or catering environment.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
Understanding of special dietary requirements and allergens.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
A caring and compassionate approach to supporting older people.
