Overview
Bar Supervisor (Level 3)

As a Level 3 Bar Supervisor at Berkhamsted Sports Bar, you will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting the management team, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service are delivered at all times. This position carries greater responsibility than a Bar Associate role and requires a strong understanding of bar operations, team leadership, product knowledge, and service standards.

Responsibilities include supervising team members during service, supporting staff training and development, maintaining operational standards, assisting with stock control, handling customer queries, and helping to drive sales through excellent service and effective upselling. As a supervisor, you will be expected to lead by example, motivate the team, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities

This role also forms part of our structured development pathway, with opportunities to progress further through Levels 4 and 5 by demonstrating advanced operational knowledge, leadership capability, and business awareness. All training, mentoring, and assessment support will be provided, ensuring you have a clear route for career progression and increased earning potential within Berkhamsted Sports Bar.

This role provides an excellent foundation for anyone interested in developing a career within the hospitality sector, offering valuable experience in customer service, beverage preparation, and operational support.

The opening of the venue is on the 11th of June. With staff training to take place on Monday the 8th of June.
