Full job description

Are you an experienced supervisor looking to step up and take ownership of a busy shift? Do you enjoy leading teams, driving performance and maintaining high standards in a fast‑paced operation? Are you comfortable working flexible hours and leading from the front to keep operations running smoothly?

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a Shift Supervisor to join our Mossend operation. This is a full‑time, permanent role, working an afternoon/evening shift pattern on any 5 days from 7, including weekends. You’ll be responsible for leading your shift, driving performance and creating an engaged, high‑performing team within a warehouse and transport environment.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead the day‑to‑day operation of your shift, ensuring productivity, quality and service targets are achieved
Coach, motivate and develop colleagues, supporting performance reviews and training needs
Deliver clear shift handovers and maintain effective communication across teams
Promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring compliance with site procedures
Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the operation

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous experience in a warehouse or transport supervisory role
Confidence leading teams in a fast‑paced, operational environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
A proactive, organised approach with strong problem‑solving skills
Flexibility to work a 5‑from‑7 shift pattern including weekends
