Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our client's vibrant team, committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. In this role, you will provide compassionate support, guidance, and mentorship to help individuals thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will foster a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow confidently and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities

Provide emotional support and encouragement, helping individuals build confidence and maintain their wellbeing.
Assist with personal care, medication support, meal preparation, and daily living activities while promoting independence.
Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities to reduce isolation and improve quality of life.
Build positive, trusting relationships through patience, empathy, and effective communication.
Observe, monitor, and accurately record changes in health, behaviour, and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly.
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care plans.
Support individuals in achieving their personal goals while respecting their dignity, privacy, and individual preferences.
Maintain a safe environment by following safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, infection control measures, and organisational policies at all times.

Skills and Qualities

Experience supporting vulnerable adults in residential, supported living, or community settings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Compassionate, patient, reliable, and adaptable.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
Committed to promoting independence, dignity, and empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives.
