Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction, with previous experience in a café or similar setting being advantageous. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders accurately and efficiently
Prepare a variety of food and beverages, including hot drinks, sandwiches, and snacks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Manage stock levels and notify management of supplies needed
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system
Assist with organising displays and ensuring the café is tidy and inviting
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations

Experience

Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing food service role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety regulations is beneficial
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness
Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions effectively
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Ability to work efficiently within a team in a fast-paced environment

This position offers an engaging work environment where you can enhance your hospitality skills while delivering memorable experiences for our customers.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
