Senior Travel Consultant

Full-time based on 5 working days- 40 hours per week

Flexible working from home plus travel to meetings in Oakham, Rutland or elsewhere as agreed once per month along with travel to hotel/ clients site visits as required.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities working across both Team Travel and Global Events.

Operations

Understand and support the implementation of a Global Distribution System
Sourcing travel components for professional sports teams and events, utilising research and links with domestic and worldwide travel providers
Sourcing and administrating domestic and international scheduled flight bookings, chartered flights, train bookings and coach bookings
Preparing proposals for sports team travel and events travel
Organising adhoc bookings for clients when and if required
Preparing contracts for travel bookings
Preparing pre-arrival documents prior to event bookings
Supporting our clients onsite (as required)
Managing flight lists for clients
Managing ticketing
Managing the communications from flight companies with clients ( including delays, baggage requirements, seat requirements, visa requirements)
Managing communication with airlines and other travel providers to ensure all elements of the client’s event are taken care of
Administering and collating post travel feedback from teams
Maintaining an growing relationships with travel industry suppliers.

Finance

Working with the Team Travel, Global Events and Finance Department to provide the below:
Reviewing travel invoices post event to ensure charges are accurate as per the contracts
Logging all income and expenditure in the company’s accounts database as required

Other

Assisting the Sportsrooms management in all other aspects of the business as and when required.

Reporting

You will be working across both the Team Travel and Global Events departments and will report directly to a Head of Operations.

Person Specification

Demonstrates a high level of understanding of a Global Distribution System

Several years’ experience working in the travel industry within a sports setting ideally as a travel consultant for business travel.
Excellent knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
Demonstrates high levels of attention to detail
Works independently to achieve high level performance
Organised and structured approach to work
Hungry to grow and develop
Passionate about sports travel
Versatile and willing to adapt to a changing work environment

Salary: - £35,000.00 (Subject to experience)
