About IG Legal

IG Legal is a specialist legal-costs practice based at Speldhurst Business Park in Kent. We support legal professionals and clients across a range of costs, billing and litigation-related matters.

We are looking for an organised and dependable Office and Legal Administration Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role involving general administration, client communication and support with billing and case administration. Training in our systems and specialist processes will be provided.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

providing general administrative support to the office;
answering and directing telephone calls;
monitoring and responding to emails;
communicating professionally with clients and other parties;
opening, maintaining and updating electronic matter files;
assisting with billing and case administration;
preparing, formatting and organising documents;
entering information accurately into internal systems and spreadsheets;
monitoring outstanding information, tasks and deadlines;
maintaining confidential and accurate records;

About you

We are looking for someone who:

has strong organisational and time-management skills;
communicates clearly and professionally;
has good attention to detail;
is confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
can manage several tasks and priorities;
is comfortable communicating by telephone and email;
understands the importance of confidentiality;
is dependable, methodical and willing to learn; and
can work effectively as part of a small professional team.

Previous experience in administration, legal services, billing or another professional-services environment would be helpful but is not essential. Training in legal-costs procedures will be provided.

permanent position, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:00 (30 minutes lunch break)

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
