Fireplace Installation Assistant

Fireplaces, Stoves & Chimney Systems

Location: Littlehampton, West Sussex
Salary: Dependent on experience

At Sussex Eco Solutions, we install fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, chimney systems and outdoor living products for customers who care deeply about their homes.

We’re a small, established business with strong customer reviews and a team that cares about the work we leave behind.

Most of what we do happens inside people’s homes, so how we do the job matters just as much as the finished result. We care about turning up properly, protecting the home, doing the work well, and leaving customers feeling they chose the right company.

We’re looking for a Fireplace Installation Assistant to join our installation team.

The Role

You’ll work alongside our experienced stove and fireplace installers, helping deliver high-quality installations across Sussex and the surrounding areas.

This is practical, hands-on work. It involves strength, care, reliability and pride in the finish.

Depending on experience, you’ll be helping with:

Stove and fireplace installations
Chimney liner installations
Twin-wall flue systems
Fireplace openings and preparation work
Hearths, chambers and finishing details
Protecting customers’ homes before work starts
Loading, unloading and preparing materials
Keeping tools, vans and work areas organised
Leaving every job clean, safe and tidy

What Success Looks Like

Jobs are completed safely and properly
Customers feel respected and well looked after
Homes are protected and left clean
The lead installer can rely on you
You notice what needs doing and step in
You learn the trade and become more useful over time

Who This Suits

This role would suit someone who wants more than casual labouring.

You may already have experience in building, roofing, chimney work, landscaping, property maintenance or another hands-on trade. Or you may simply be practical, reliable and ready to learn something specialist.

What matters most is attitude.

You’ll suit us if:

You’re reliable and hard-working
You like doing things properly
You care about the finish
You respect customers’ homes
You enjoy being part of a small team
You’re willing to listen, learn and improve
You want to build a long-term place in a company, not just fill a short-term gap

A full UK driving licence would be preferred.

Previous stove, fireplace or HETAS experience would be a strong advantage, but we are also open to the right person who wants to learn the trade properly.
