Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Weekend Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and experience in food preparation to contribute to a welcoming dining experience during weekends.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal planning and portion control to minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Ensure all food is stored correctly and at appropriate temperatures
Monitor ingredients stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Serve meals efficiently to guests, ensuring excellent customer service
Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of food preparation and service

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a culinary role within a restaurant or similar setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work independently and efficiently during busy weekend shifts
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness
Previous experience in serving or assisting customers is desirable but not essential
Flexibility to work weekends and unsociable hours as required
Enthusiasm for creating quality meals and providing excellent service
