Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional healthcare environment, contributing to patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist
Assist patients with medication queries and provide guidance on proper medication usage
Manage inventory, including stock replenishment and storage organisation
Maintain precise records of prescriptions and medication dispensation in accordance with legal and organisational standards
Support with medication administration procedures as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management
Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, capable of providing compassionate patient care
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (where applicable) is preferred
