Volunteer Coordinator

Salary: £17,000 (£25,500 FTE)

Part-time: 24 hours per week across 4/5 days

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their generosity, commitment and enthusiasm enables us to deliver vital services across Surrey, and we believe every volunteer should feel welcomed, valued and appreciated. Working alongside volunteers is both a privilege and a constant source of inspiration.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to join our team supporting all aspects of volunteering across the organisation. This varied role combines volunteer recruitment, coordination and administration, helping to ensure our volunteers have a positive and rewarding experience from the moment they express an interest through to their ongoing involvement with us.

The successful applicant will be approachable, organised and confident communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds. They will have excellent administration, communication and IT skills, along with a genuine appreciation of the invaluable contribution volunteers make to our charity and the people we support.

Full time annual leave entitlement is 28 days per annum. Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey complies with auto enrolment, we match contributions up to 6% using the Pensions Trust. We offer training opportunities suitable for each role. We pay for annual flu vaccinations and for an eye test every two years with a contribution towards work related glasses. A Disclosure and Barring Service check at an enhanced level will be required which we will arrange. For further details of the role please see the job description.
