Full job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant for a period of 8 weeks with immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu development, kitchen management, food quality control, and staff leadership. This role requires a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality.
Develop and maintain an innovative, seasonal menu that aligns with the restaurant’s concept.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste management to maintain profitability.
Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation regulations in line with local health guidelines.
Manage kitchen schedules and staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage.
Work closely with suppliers to source the best ingredients while maintaining budget control.
Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new techniques to enhance the menu.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant.
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse kitchen team.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Financial acumen with experience in cost control and budgeting.
Passion for food innovation and a commitment to high-quality standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
