Part Time Receptionist

Location Description

Crowne Plaza Reading East is a modern, luxury 4-star hotel offering stylish bedrooms, the 2 AA Rosette Caprice Restaurant & Terrace, Monty’s Bar & Lounge, and the Esprit Wellness & Spa with pool, gym, and treatment facilities.

The hotel also features state-of-the-art meetings and events spaces for up to 260 delegates and is conveniently located near the M4 and Winnersh Triangle station, with easy access to Reading, Heathrow, Windsor Castle, and Legoland.

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Front Office team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a warm welcome and delivering exceptional service throughout every stage of the guest journey.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression.
Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently using the hotel's property management system.
Handle reservations, amendments, and cancellations accurately.
Answer telephone calls, emails, and guest enquiries promptly and professionally.
Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
Provide guests with information about the hotel, local attractions, and services.
Resolve guest queries and concerns promptly, escalating issues where appropriate.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Maintain the reception area to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
Follow hotel policies and procedures, including data protection, health and safety, and security requirements.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role is desirable but not essential, as full training may be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A friendly, positive, and professional approach to customer service.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Good computer literacy and confidence using booking or property management systems.
A flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
A team player with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
