KIRKHAM CONSERVATIVE CLUB

ASSISTANT BAR MANAGER

Kirkham Conservative Club has an opening, for an Assistant Bar Manager, to join the Team in their busy Members Club in Kirkham, mid-way between Preston and Blackpool.

As Assistant Bar Manager you will assist the Club Steward in leading a team in the delivery of an exceptional Members experience. Being an excellent and confident communicator, you will take a hands-on approach to your role in leading and assisting in the Management of, our successful Team.

This is a Full Time position and you will be required to be flexible in your 30-35 hour week, adapting your hours to suit the needs of the Business and in accordance with the Bar Rota as agreed with the Club Steward - Weekends and evenings are an essential part of the role.

The Club is a Private Members Club, serving our Members 7 days a week. We also cater for private functions such as Wedding Parties, Birthdays and Anniversaries as well as funerals.

Responsibilities will include:

Helping to ensure all Service areas meet with the high expectations of our Members.

Helping to ensure the Safety of Members and Staff.

Assisting in ensuring the Club meets with all relevant legislation such as Health and Safety, Hygiene, Fire Safety and Licensing.

Helping to ensure the Bars, Cellar, Stock Rooms and Member areas are maintained effectively.

Helping to ensure best practices are adhered to with regards to Cash Handling and Stock Control.

Through the Club Steward and the Club Secretary, liaise cohesively with the Committee Members in order to ensure a smooth running of the Club from day to day.

Assist in the coaching and development of Bar Staff in order to encourage commitment and efficiency of service.

Assist in events Management for both Private and Member Functions, ensuring a professional approach to all customers on behalf of the Committee.

The Successful Candidate will be:

An experienced Bar Person/Supervisor with a can do/will do attitude and a drive to complete tasks.
Assertive, diplomatic and very much hands on.
An excellent Communicator and Organiser.
Positive in attitude with a good sense of humour.
In a position to work flexibly in accordance with the needs of the Business.
