Full job description

Part-Time Painter (Semi-Retired/Retired Welcome)

We are looking for a reliable and experienced painter to help maintain our display of high-quality wooden garden buildings at our display site in Orton Grange, Carlisle.

This role is ideal for someone who is semi-retired or retired and enjoys working outdoors while taking pride in producing a high-quality finish.

Duties include:

Sanding and preparing timber buildings for painting.
Applying base coats and high-quality topcoats.
Maintaining the appearance of our display buildings.
Keeping the work area clean and tidy.

Requirements:

Previous painting and decorating experience preferred.
Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
Reliable and able to work independently.
Own transport is essential due to our location.

Hours:

3–4 days per week (flexible).
10:00am – 5:00pm.
Approximately 18–24 hours per week.

Pay:

£12.71 per hour (National Living Wage).

Location:

Orton Grange, Carlisle.
