Job Overview

We are seeking a full time friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team in our beautiful rural establishment. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
Provide friendly and attentive guest service, addressing any special requests or concerns
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
Process payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash transactions responsibly
Support team members in delivering seamless service during peak hours
Train and progress new/current staff

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Experience with serving, food preparation, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and stock control purposes
Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be 18+ years
Must be able to drive or commute successfully to and from work
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends Is required.
