Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our pub. Previous experience in hospitality or janitorial services is highly desirable but not essential . This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and reliability are valued.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to company standards
Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
Sweep, vacuum, mop floors, and dust surfaces to ensure a spotless environment
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in an organised manner
Assist with laundry duties as required
Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality and guest privacy

Requirements

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
Good organisational skills and reliability
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations

This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating clean, welcoming environments for guests or residents. We value professionalism, punctuality, and a proactive approach to tasks.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
