Floor Layer
Southeast London
£41,500

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to deliver flooring solutions across commercial and public sector environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Floor Layer to join a growing team working across a variety of projects, carrying out installation, repairs and maintenance of flooring systems to a high standard.

The Role:

As a Floor Layer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial flooring solutions across customer sites.

Typical duties will include:

Installation of commercial flooring including vinyl, carpet tiles, safety flooring and LVT
Preparing floor surfaces including cleaning, levelling and subfloor preparation
Measuring and cutting flooring materials accurately
Carrying out flooring repairs and remedial works
Ensuring all installations meet quality and safety standards
Working from drawings, specifications and job instructions
Liaising with site teams, contractors and customers when required
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Completing works within agreed timescales

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Floor Layer / Flooring Installer
Strong experience within commercial flooring environments
Knowledge of preparation techniques, adhesives and installation methods
Experience installing vinyl, carpet tiles, LVT or similar flooring systems
Good attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality finishes
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous
