Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance and proactive loss prevention measures. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety of our organisation while working in a professional and supportive environment.

Duties

Monitor security cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity across the premises, ensuring safety and security.
Conduct regular patrols of the site to identify and address potential security issues or hazards.
Enforce access control procedures, verifying authorised personnel and visitors.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
Assist with loss prevention by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or damage.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as required.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or emergencies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is advantageous.
Basic first aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
Valid security licence or certification as per local regulations is preferred but not mandatory at application stage.

Pay: £12.80 per hour
