My client is an exciting Fintech in the Payments space who are rapidly expanding.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident and organised Training & People Officer to join a growing team based in Leeds. This hybrid role blends in-house training delivery with HR administration, offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop a career within HR and Learning & Development.

Working closely with both the Training Manager and HR Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee development and ensuring smooth, compliant HR processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

Plan, organise, and independently deliver engaging induction and refresher training sessions for new and existing employees.
Create, update, and maintain high-quality training materials aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with managers, subject matter experts, and external providers to deliver specialist training sessions.
Track attendance, evaluate training effectiveness, and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Support training logistics, reporting, and employee development initiatives to enhance engagement and performance.

HR Administration

Coordinate pre-employment checks, including DBS and references.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including inductions and HR system access.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR requirements.
Track annual leave, sickness, and absence records.
Prepare HR documentation, letters, and reports.
Act as the first point of contact for HR system and platform queries.

Key skills and experience include:

Confidence delivering training sessions independently, both face-to-face and virtually.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
A discreet and professional approach to handling confidential information.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and multitask effectively.
A genuine interest in developing knowledge within HR and training.
