Full job description

Location: Whitby School and Sixth Form

Contract: Permanent

Hours/ Working Pattern: 30 hours per week, 9:00 – 15:30, Monday – Friday, Term time only (Plus any training days)

Salary/ Hourly Rate: Grade CD, £13.28 - £13.47 per hour

Closing Date: 11:59pm Thursday 18th June 2026

Our Opportunity

We are looking a skilled Administrator to join our team.

This is a varied and fast-paced role involving a range of duties dependent on school needs, such as covering reception, SEN admin work, receptionist duties, reprographics / display work, general office work and potentially also some pupil attendance administration.

We are looking for an organised and adaptable individual who can prioritise effectively, juggle multiple tasks, and maintain a calm and professional approach in a busy environment.

You will be mostly based at the Prospect Hill site but may need to work at the Airy Hill site on occasion.

You will have:

Literacy & numeracy qualification e.g. Level 2 qualification or equivalent
Administrative and clerical experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good judgement and problem-solving ability
Analytical skills and attention to detail
Good organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
An understanding of confidentiality
