Full job description

We are a leading company in the fruit and vegetable industry, dedicated to delivering fresh, high-quality produce to our customers. We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team and help ensure the highest standards of quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and evaluate fresh fruit and vegetable produce for quality, appearance, and compliance with company standards.
Identify and report any defects, damages, or inconsistencies in products.
Monitor temperature, storage conditions, and handling procedures to ensure optimal freshness and quality.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
Assist in sampling and testing procedures to ensure product safety and quality.
Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve any quality-related issues.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
Support the training and development of new staff in quality control procedures.

Requirements:

Previous experience in quality control, preferably in the food or agriculture industry.
Knowledge of fruit and vegetable handling, storage, and inspection processes.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues quickly.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
A passion for fresh produce and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations is a plus.
Alternating Weekend work
10 hour - 12 hour shifts depending on workload may be required to stay longer on certain days
