Job Introduction

Salary: £39,152 - £41,771 a year plus £3,500 market supplement allowance and £963 essential car user allowance (subject to criteria)
Hours: 37 a week
Contract type: Permanent

What You’ll be doing

We are seeking an experienced RNLD or RNMH to join our Adult Social Care team. Using your clinical expertise, you will assess needs, manage complex cases, and help adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, dementia, sensory impairments, and other care and support needs achieve positive outcomes.

Working within the framework of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding legislation, you will deliver person-centred, strengths-based assessments and support plans that promote independence, wellbeing, and choice.

Key Responsibilities

Complete person-centred, strengths-based and evidence-informed assessments
Develop outcome-focused care and support plans
Support adults to maintain independence and strengthen support networks
Deliver nursing training and competency assessments to care workers
Provide professional advice, coaching and mentoring to colleagues
Manage complex, high-risk and safeguarding cases
Produce clear, accurate reports and maintain high-quality records
Design effective and cost-efficient care packages
Represent the Local Authority in court and formal proceedings when required

What we’re looking for

Registered Nurse qualification (RNLD or RNMH)
Significant post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care or nursing
Extensive experience working with people with learning disabilities
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and related legislation
Experience delivering training and supporting colleagues' development
Excellent assessment, decision-making and report-writing skills
Ability to manage complex and challenging cases confidently
Commitment to ongoing professional development
