Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner/Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing a variety of structures and fixtures, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments, contributing to the realisation of quality building solutions. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in carpentry and related trades, with a keen eye for detail and precision.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble timber components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
Install joinery, cabinetry, flooring, roofing frameworks, and other structural elements on-site or in workshops
Measure accurately and cut materials to specified dimensions in accordance with project plans
Perform heavy lifting of materials and components safely and efficiently
Conduct construction painting, plumbing tasks, masonry work, and electrical installations as required
Collaborate with other trades such as roofing specialists, electricians, plumbers, and masons to ensure seamless project progression
Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations
Read technical drawings and blueprints to interpret project requirements effectively

Experience

Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades
Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and installation using hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and construction painting is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on-site
Experience working on residential or commercial projects is preferred
Familiarity with health & safety standards within the construction industry
