General Manager – Cocktail & Pizza Bar

Location: Archive, Cheadle Hulme

Salary: £35k pa plus profit share

We are an independent cocktail and pizza bar looking for an experienced and ambitious General Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our venue.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences while helping grow a successful business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the bar and front-of-house team.
Recruit, train, motivate and develop staff members.
Maintain consistently high standards of customer service.
Lead by example during busy service periods.
Manage staff rotas, scheduling and labour costs.
Monitor stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
Drive sales growth through excellent service, upselling and local marketing initiatives.
Monitor performance, turnover and profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a Bar Manager, Assistant Manager or similar hospitality management role.
Strong cocktail knowledge and hospitality expertise.
Proven experience recruiting, training and managing teams.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the venue.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Commercial awareness and a track record of increasing sales and profitability.
A positive, energetic and hands-on approach.
