Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and safe manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring patients receive their medications promptly.

Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver pharmacy orders to customers across designated routes
Delivery in a timely manner and efficiently within the suggested time frames
Ensure accurate and secure handling of pharmaceutical products during transit
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary
Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon receipt of goods
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper vehicle maintenance and adherence to traffic laws
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries professionally and courteously during deliveries

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, ideally within a pharmacy or healthcare setting
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous
Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is desirable
Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving
Proven reliability and organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
