Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, along with a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and able to work effectively under pressure during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are adhered to at all times
Assist with basic food preparation when required and maintain cleanliness in the service area
Handle guest queries professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout their visit
Manage tables efficiently to optimise turnover without compromising service quality
Process payments accurately using the POS system and provide receipts as needed
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills are desirable
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to enhance guest experiences
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Experience in guest services, upselling techniques, and culinary knowledge are beneficial but not mandatory
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required
