Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Marketing and Events Officer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to organise and deliver internal and external events, bringing our schools to life for visitors, while enhancing St Swithun’s visibility across various platforms. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and organisational abilities with a passion for engaging with diverse audiences and driving promotional initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing events to promote our schools.
Organise and coordinate a variety of events, ensuring seamless execution from planning through to post-event analysis.
Utilise techniques to maximise student recruitment opportunities during events and promotional activities.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event delivery and consistent messaging across all social media channels.
Maintain detailed records of marketing activities, event logistics, and guest feedback for continuous improvement.
Build relationships with parents, partners, sponsors, and community organisations.
Assist with other initiatives by promoting campaigns and engaging with interested parties.

Experience

Proven experience in marketing, event management, or hospitality sectors such as restaurants or hotels.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
Demonstrable communication skills suitable for engaging diverse audiences both verbally and in writing.
Experience in guest services or hospitality environments is advantageous.
Familiarity with school student recruitment activities is desirable but not essential.
