Full job description

Job Summary:

To delight the customer by delivering the ‘best Gingerbread in the world’ through expert baking skills, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring consistency in our baking processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Oven work
Baking product
Packaging product
Cleaning of work areas
Quality control
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
Off-loading of deliveries

Days of work: Full-time - 5 days, 1 day will be a weekend day (days discussed at interview)

Hours of work: 40hrs a week. 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)

Rate of pay: £14.00 per hour (age 23 and over)

Length of contract: Permanent, rate of pay increasing to £14.50 following successful probationary period.

Suitable Candidate:

Baking/kitchen experience
Reliable, flexible and dependable
Can work as part of a small team in a limited and fast paced environment
Presentable for working in a food production environment and adhere to such legislation
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
Able to work to deadlines
Good communication skills
The role involves some heavy lifting and taking in deliveries so a good level of health and fitness is required for this position.

To note:

Ability to lift and carry items as required
A confidentiality agreement must be signed
Compliance with the company’s Health & Hygiene policy is mandatory
Work visa sponsorship and live in accommodation are not available, applicants must live within Cumbria.
