31 - 33k basic, excellent gratuities, OTE 35K plus, free on site parking
We are looking for someone to join our management team and drive forward the Weddings Operations of Storrs Hall to ensure an exceptional experience and seamless delivery of large exclusive use, and smaller intimate weddings, plus additional events such as private lunches and functions.

Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage an accurate database for Weddings, Events and other Sales.
- Working alongside the Deputy General Manager and the Marketing Manager to build Wedding packages and devise Events offers across both Private and Corporate sectors
- Create and implement an Events programme outside of Weddings to help build the Hotel’s overall events revenue stream
- Proactively review our service offerings and packages, looking at continuous improvement and innovation
- Ensure that contracts and all Wedding collateral including brochures and rates are reviewed and maintained regularly.
- Handle all incoming enquiries for Weddings, Events, Corporate Functions, Private Dining, or Tour Groups and provide quotes as required.
- Proactively diarise and follow up enquiries in a timely manner to try and convert into sales
- Conduct show rounds for prospective guests, identifying guest needs & wants and coming up with a solution to secure their booking
- Build effective long-term relationships with all prospective guests/clients.
- Negotiate rates and terms to convert sales enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Ensure that all payment and contract details are provided and returned.
- Ensure invoices are sent out promptly to relevant debtors and that payment is made within a reasonable timeframe, liaising with Finance.
Preparation:
- Work with Wedding couples/clients throughout the planning process to produce their event plan and information and ensure and exceptional experience .
- Prepare function/forward planning sheets to ensure that all information the guest requires is accurately recorded to ensure the smooth delivery of the Event/Wedding/Function.
- Liaise with all the relevant departments
- Provide guests with information about local facilities, suppliers or nearby activities in line with their proposed event.
Delivery:
- Assist with the operational delivery and running of Weddings, Events and Conferences as required.
- Sourcing, negotiating with, and managing suppliers for the events
- Keep up to date with how the Wedding, Event or Conference is going, providing support where required.
- Ensure that any additional extras for rooms are charged and ordered correctly
Main Experience Required
- A background in Wedding planning , ideally from within a hotel environment
- Possess a passion for weddings & events with an exceptional eye for detail
- Proactive and forward thinking
- Excellent communication skills and strong organisational abilities
- Able to build a rapport with all types of customer and promote the Storrs wedding packages
- IT Literate with ideally some CRM experience
- Strong administration skills
- An ability to confidently negotiate on prices and offerings and close the wedding/ events booking
