Workshop Technician – Arcade & Amusement Equipment

The Racing Bug (UK) Ltd – Thornborough, Buckinghamshire, MK18

£30,000 - £36,000 per year

Full-time - Permanent

The Racing Bug designs, builds and operates unique competitive racing attractions and arcade experiences for venues across the UK and internationally. We are looking for a practical and enthusiastic Workshop Technician to join our growing team.MK18

DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities

Repair, restore and maintain arcade and amusement equipment, with a particular focus on retro arcade machines.
Diagnose electrical and electronic faults to component, PCB and wiring level.
Carry out soldering, cable assembly and installation work.
Build, test and commission new Raceway attractions and associated equipment.
Assist with occasional installation and event support work throughout the UK and overseas.
Maintain workshop tools, equipment and stock.

Skills and Experience

Experience working with electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical equipment.
Ability to fault-find using a multimeter and basic test equipment.
Competent soldering skills.
Familiarity with power supplies, motors, switches, relays and sensors.
Experience with arcade machines, gaming equipment, pinball machines, amusement devices or hobby electronics would be advantageous.
Professionally presented with excellent communication skills
Reliable & Punctual
Experience of commonly used hand and power-tools.
Flexibility and Enthusiastic to constantly innovate and develop new skills.
