We’re looking for an energetic, reliable team player to join the kitchen crew at The Relais Cooden Beach, a stunning 45-bedroom boutique lifestyle hotel on the seafront of Cooden Beach.

This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a friendly, supportive team.

About the role

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operation, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Your role will include:

Keeping the back-of-house kitchen areas clean, tidy and well organised
Supporting our chefs whenever needed
Ensuring health & safety, hygiene, fire and COSHH standards are always met
Making sure the right chemicals and cleaning products are used correctly
Minimising breakages and reporting any issues promptly
Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment so chefs always have the equipment they need
Helping with deliveries and storing stock
Managing waste and recycling ready for collection

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

Has previous kitchen or porter experience (great, but not essential) this is a highly physical role
Understands how a clean kitchen contributes to great guest experiences
Has a genuine interest in hospitality and teamwork
Is happy working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Can stay calm and focused in a busy environment
Has good spoken English and communicates well
Enjoys multitasking and getting stuck in
