We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our high-performing team as a Quality Lead for our Hastings campus.
Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will work closely with the Director of Teacher Development & Digital Innovation, Campus Assistant Principals and curriculum teams to drive the operational delivery of the college quality cycle. You will lead the teaching and learning observation programme, oversee key quality processes and ensure systems are embedded to deliver outstanding student experiences.
This role will include:
- Leading the teaching and learning observation programme, producing accurate profiles and supporting continuous professional development.
- Coordinating the annual quality cycle, including lesson observations, course reviews, learner surveys, area reviews, SARs and QI plans.
- Working with Teaching Advanced Practitioners to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Coaching and training staff on quality processes to support consistently good or better teaching, learning and assessment.
- Ensuring quality procedures are followed and records maintained for reporting.
- Coordinating awarding body quality requirements, EV visits and annual quality monitoring visits.
- Supporting internal and external verification processes and curriculum evaluation activities.
- Promoting the effective use of ILT in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Representing the college at regional and national quality improvement events.
- Supporting the college's commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
If you can demonstrate the following, we'd love to hear from you:
- Level 2 Maths and English and a relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the FE sector and current quality assurance and improvement practices.
- Understanding of awarding body quality processes; knowledge of FE funding is desirable.
- Successful teaching experience with a strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment.
- Experience of quality reviews and lesson observations is desirable.
- Ability to analyse complex data and use it to inform planning and improvement.
- Confidence in coaching and supporting staff at all levels.
- Strong leadership of quality processes and observation activity.
- Excellent ICT, communication, organisational and time-management skills.
- A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
- Emotional resilience and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Annual salary: Circa £42,500
(Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)
Hours: Full time – 37 Hours/52.14 weeks
