Sales Manager – Seasoned Events

Monday – Friday

8:30 am – 5:30 pm

33 days holiday per annum including bank holidays

We are café, hospitality, event management, and fine dining experts providing the freshest, seasonal, sustainable, ethical, and local ingredients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and driven Sales Manager to join the team at The Mermaid London, one of London’s leading independent conference, events, and hospitality venues.

Located in the heart of the City, The Mermaid London is renowned for delivering exceptional corporate events, conferences, award ceremonies, exhibitions, and private functions within a dynamic and versatile venue space. We are now looking for an experienced sales professional who is passionate about hospitality, relationship management, and driving revenue growth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and maximising venue sales across a diverse event portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively generating new business across corporate, agency, and private event markets
Managing and converting incoming enquiries to achieve revenue targets
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, agencies, and industry partners
Conducting venue show rounds and presenting tailored event solutions
Negotiating contracts and preparing client proposals
Working closely with operations and event delivery teams to ensure exceptional client experiences
Attending networking events, exhibitions, and industry showcases
Identifying market trends and contributing to sales strategy development
Maintaining accurate records within CRM and sales systems

About You

Previous sales management experience within venues, hospitality, or events
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Strong understanding of the London events and corporate hospitality market
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Commercially driven with strong business development ability
Confident, proactive, and highly organised
Ability to build lasting client relationships
Experience working with agencies and corporate clients is advantageous
