The role

As a Finance Manager, you'll provide strategic financial business partnering across the Defence Support Group (DSG) contract, delivering insight, challenge and support to operational leaders. This is a highly visible role that combines commercial finance, financial planning, forecasting and data analysis, giving you the opportunity to influence key decisions across multiple sites and functions.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
Provide financial business partnering support to operational leadership teams across the DSG contract.
Produce budgets, forecasts, performance reports and variance analysis to support decision-making.
Manage and developing complex financial models, including labour forecasting tools.
Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
Support financial control, contract performance and long-term business planning activities.

The role is based in a hybrid working arrangement at DSG Donnington, with 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to DSG Catterick will be required on a monthly basis.

Essential experience of the Finance Manager:
Strong commercial finance experience.
Proven finance business partnering experience within an industry environment.
Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Advanced Excel skills with experience building and managing complex financial models.
Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data and provide clear, actionable insights.

Qualifications for the Finance Manager:
Qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
