Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our vibrant team at Himmah! In this role, you will be the backbone of our catering services, ensuring smooth food preparation, presentation, and service for a variety of events and daily operations. Your energy and attention to detail will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a team that values quality, efficiency, and exceptional guest service.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and cleanliness
Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring excellent guest experiences
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining area, and service stations throughout shift
Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Handle guest inquiries with friendly communication skills via phone or in person, providing clear information about menu options or services
Assist with meal assembly, setup, and replenishing food items as needed to ensure freshness and presentation

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or catering is highly desirable
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and guest service orientation
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
A positive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and customer service
