Dental Receptionist

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:15am–5:30pm | Occasional Saturdays

We are looking for an organised, professional and personable Dental Receptionist to join our busy dental practice.

As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming, efficient and professional experience, while supporting the clinical team and the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

You will ideally demonstrate:

Excellent attention to detail – accurate and thorough when managing appointments, patient information, payments, messages and administrative tasks.
Strong organisation and efficiency – able to prioritise effectively, manage a busy workload and see tasks through to completion.
Professionalism and maturity – communicates appropriately with patients and colleagues, understands confidentiality and maintains professional boundaries.
Sound decision-making – able to deal sensibly with day-to-day situations, follow established procedures and recognise when a matter requires input from a clinician or manager.
Confidence to ask when unsure – comfortable using initiative within the responsibilities of the role while seeking guidance where appropriate rather than making assumptions.
Clear communication – friendly, confident and professional when dealing with patients, clinicians and other members of the team.
Reliability and accountability – takes responsibility for their work, follows agreed processes and can be relied upon to complete tasks accurately and consistently.
A positive team approach – works well with others and understands the importance of respecting different roles and responsibilities within the practice.

The role

Responsibilities will include managing the appointment diary, answering telephone and patient enquiries, booking and amending appointments, taking payments, maintaining accurate patient records, communicating with clinicians and supporting the smooth running of reception.

This is a busy role, so we need someone who can work at pace without sacrificing accuracy, manage competing priorities and remain calm and professional throughout the day.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:15am–5:30pmOccasional Saturdays

Previous dental reception experience would be advantageous, although we would also consider candidates with strong reception, healthcare, administrative or customer-service experience.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is organised, conscientious and professional, with the confidence to take responsibility for their role, the reliability to follow things through and the awareness to seek support when required.

Pay: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
